I'm Cameron and this is my design portfolio.

I’m a product designer who makes great relationships with stakeholders, understands how engineers think, and always advocates for the user while serving the business.

I’m currently working at Hearst Autos, building car shopping and research experiences for Car and Driver.

Vehicle Rankings

Leverage proprietary data to support a vehicle rankings experience, making it easier for the car shopper to find the vehicle that’s right for them.

A little bit about me...

Outside of work I’m passionate about a lot of things. Cycling. Synthesizers. Cooking. Reading. TV and film. Home DIY. I can’t seem to stop collecting new hobbies. What I’ve learned about myself over the years is that I seek out new hobbies because I love the phase of developing an interest when you are so new to something that 1) your mind is flooded with questions and 2) the possibilities of what you can do within that domain feel infinite. I still haven’t reverse seared a steak (but I want to). I still haven’t ridden my bike across my home state of Michigan (but I’m going to). I still haven’t made my own furniture (but that’s bound to happen, right?)

The point is that I seem to have been born with the designer’s impulse. I have to ask questions. I have to know why something works the way it does. I have to know the reasons behind the most trivial-seeming decisions. I have to bring things to their limit to understand the scope of their use. I really can’t live without answers to these questions, so I go seeking them in creative and fun ways.
